Let's Talk About Your Culture
Every organization’s starting point is different. It might be a diagnostic, a learning program, HR advisory support, a speaking engagement, or simply a question sparked by one of the books. A brief conversation is usually enough to find the right fit. Enquiries are welcome.

About GHS Enterprise
What does GHS Enterprise actually do?
GHS Enterprise is a management consulting practice that helps organizations close the gap between the culture they declare and the culture their people actually live. Founded by Greg Smith, CMC, the practice combines diagnostic work, published frameworks, and applied learning programs to give leaders a precise read on what their culture is producing and the capability to change what needs to change.
Who is GHS Enterprise built to serve?
The practice works with C-suite leaders managing culture as a strategic variable, HR professionals moving from administration toward stewardship, and organizations navigating mergers, leadership transition, or early signs of culture drift. Clients span Canada and the United States across sectors including healthcare, post-secondary education, telecommunications and others.
Who actually delivers the work?
GHS Enterprise operates as a collective, a deliberately assembled group of independent consultants who each carry a distinct discipline into every engagement, among them organizational diagnostics, instructional design, executive coaching, facilitation, and measurement. Clients receive the combined range a complex culture problem requires, coordinated through a single accountable lead.
The Two Pillars and the Bridge
What are the two pillars?
GHS Enterprise organizes its work into two pillars. Culture Preservation diagnoses the gap between Declared Culture and Lived Culture and protects what a high-performing organization has already built. Learning Intelligence builds the leadership capability and organizational capability to close that gap once it has been identified.
What is the difference between Declared Culture and Lived Culture?
Declared Culture is the culture an organization states it has, its values, policies, and leadership principles. Lived Culture is the culture employees actually experience day to day. The two are rarely identical, and Lived Culture always moves faster than Declared Culture. Reading that gap accurately, and closing it deliberately, is the work.
What connects the two pillars?
The bridge between Culture Preservation and Learning Intelligence is HR professionals adding the discipline of Culture Stewardship to the practice work they already carry, a deepening of the role rather than a shift away from it. One way that discipline is built is through the applied learning program "HR: The Resolute Culture Steward."
The Books
What are The Deliberate Culture and The Resolute Culture?
They are the two published frameworks behind every GHS Enterprise engagement. The Deliberate Culture, a fieldbook, introduces the 7 Cs and the 21 Commitments for leading culture shaping. The Resolute Culture, subtitled Seven Signals for Reading What Your Organization Is Actually Telling You, introduces the Seven Signals framework and the Signal Suite™ diagnostic tools. Both are available on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com.
Do I need to read the books before engaging GHS Enterprise or taking a program?
No. The books and the programs each stand on their own. Reading them first deepens the experience, since the programs apply the same frameworks directly, but the programs and services are provided and/or built to be embraced without having read either book in advance.
The Learning Programs
Are the programs delivered virtually or in person?
All three programs are delivered virtually or in-person or a blended approach, built for cohort-based learning regardless of where participants are located. Organizations interested in a customized or in-house delivery are welcome to enquire directly.
The SignalSuite™
What is the SignalSuite™?
The SignalSuite™ is the collection of diagnostic instruments built from the seven signals framework: SignalMap™, SignalClusters™, SignalAudit™, and SignalEngage™. Each tool surfaces a different layer of the gap between Declared Culture and Lived Culture, turning what a standard survey would miss into something an organization can act on.
What does SignalAudit™ cover?
SignalAudit™ is offered in two views: a Self-Assessment view for organizations examining their own culture, and an M&A Due Diligence view for organizations assessing culture risk ahead of a merger or acquisition.
Can the SignalSuite™ be used on its own, without a full engagement?
Yes. Organizations can either acquire each signal tool separately or the full suite as well engage GHS Enterprise for SignalSuite™ deployment specifically, as a standalone diagnostic, or as part of a broader Culture Preservation engagement.
